Dr. Beck, Zoltán, Ph. D. Presently he is a senior lecturer at the University of Pécs, Hungary (PTE) and also the Headmaster of the University of Music (ZEN) at the same institution. Since 2000 he's also been working as the singer, songwriter and guitarist of the band 30Y, which has received honorable awards (MTV-EMA Hungary, 2012) and both Gold (2015) and Platinum (2016) status (Best of 30Y). He, as a songwriter, has been chosen the Songwriter of the Year (Artisjus, Hungary, 2012) and has been involved in a lot of different music and literature related projects and performances.
Kle Savidge is one of the UK’s foremost music supervisors, with two Oscar ® nominated films and BAFTA winning films to her credit and a career in music that began as a teenager loitering-for-a-paycheque in Toronto record shops. A holiday in London was soon deemed a permanent move, with Savidge surmising somehow that she might find herself ever more engaged in the British soundtrack that informed her youth. In the intervening years she has worked alongside the acclaimed talents of artists such as Oasis, Snow Patrol, Michael Kiwanuka, Primal Scream, Teenage Fanclub, Ride, My Bloody Valentine and Jesus and Mary Chain and gained extensive experience in all aspects of recorded music. Ultimately, of course, her successful career as a music supervisor has seen her marry her passion for music and film and rise to the top of her field, specialising in feature and documentary film.
James is the founder of Pieces of 8 Music, a London-based management and publishing company representing award-winning artists, producers, mixers and songwriters. Collectively the diverse roster of studio talent has contributed to countless hits and tens of millions of record sales worldwide, winning multiple Grammy Awards in the process. Pieces of 8 also run a series of international songwriting camps on a boat in London, bringing together artists and songwriters from across Europe and beyond. Prior to this, James’ background is in A&R, where he spent over a decade working for Universal Music’s front line labels in London.
Marko started his music career in the Hungarian National Opera House as a kid. After finishing his classical music studies, he started studying jazz. With the Kolin they won two MTV EMA prices. He was one of the judges on the Hungary’s Got Talent TV show. Besides being a producer, he was the composer of the Hungarian series Egynyári Kaland.

At age 16, he became the youngest composer ever to have a work performed at the Croatian Days Festival.

Krisztian also often works with Magdolna Rúzsa, playing a big role in Magdi’s two newest singles, Légzés and Aduász. He was a member of Ákos’ band and their concert arranger for ten years. He’s performed on stage in Rome, Moscow and Paris, and participated in two Eurovision Song Festival’s in Baku and Copenhagen — both as a producer and as a songwriter. Today, he creates in his Budapest-based Gattaca Studio.
He graduated in 2011 from the Liszt Academy with a degree in Music Composition as the student of prof. Gyula Fekete. Currently he is a Senior Lecturer at the Liszt Academy, moreover he is a member of the Artisjus Committee of Classical Music Critics, the Association of Hungarian Composers and the composer section of the Hungarian Film Academy Association. Máté Bella is one of the few composers who became a significant character of the Hungarian music scene before turning 35. His contemporary compositions are played by prominent international orchestras, his popular music tunes are favourites of several radio stations and his musical theatre pieces are performed on the stages of the most distinguished theatres in the country. Máté considers it his mission to integrate Generation Y and Z into the classical music scene. The imprint of his work so far is a musical melting pot that contains pieces composed with a new mind-set, meanwhile preserving the essence of different genres. Amongst his competition achievements and awards the Junior Prima Award, the Erkel Ferenc Award and the Bartók-Pásztory Award are the most outstanding ones.
Tibor Tátrai guitarist, composer, holder of the Liszt Ferenc Award, the Hungarian Artist of Merit and Order of Merit Awards. During his career of more than 50 years, he has played in legendary Hungarian bands such as Syrius, Generál, Skorpió, Hobo Blues Band, Magyar Atom, BoomBoom, Tátrai Band. He is still actively touring with prominent Hungarian artists. Generations grew up listening to his music, and musicians continue to be inspired by his oeuvre.
Myra Monoka is an international singer/songwriter and music producer based in Budapest, Hungary, who creates an exciting blend of contemporary r’n’b & soulful electronic pop. In 2019 Myra has been selected by the Hungarian Music Export Office as one of three artists to represent Hungary at this year's ASCAP 'I Create Music' Expo in Los Angeles, CA. Also, she made the shortlist for this year's MIDEM Artist Accelerator Programme. She played a showcase at Live at Heart festival is Sweden,. During the summer, Myra was in London for a studio session with renown producer Yoad Nevo. Myra has been studying classical music since age six, and attended the famous Bela Bartok Conservatory in Budapest, Hungary. she sharpened her music production skills at the SAE Institute in Miami, USA, where she had the opportunity to learn from a renowned group of teachers, such as the 3x Grammy Nominated, multi-platinum winning Krunkadelic,( producer for Elton John, Sean Paul, etc.) Recently Myra has been to songwriting sessions in Nashville, organized by Desmond Child, of Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Kiss, The Rasmus etc. fame, as well as the first ever S/SC (Stockholm Songwriting Camp) event in her native Budapest.

He won trailer awards with the HBO Europe promo team in New York, Rome and Budapest. He made additional music for a scene of the biggest Ukranian-American historical action film "The Rising Hawk". Composed by Josh Atchley who worked with Hans Zimmer on several projects.
Kamau is a music producer and a songwriter. In addition to being the singer of indie band Mary PopKids he writes/produces music for other artists and for commercials. Having participated in camps in Sweden, Poland, Romania, Taiwan and Budapest, he’s a regular on the songwriting-camp circuit, where songwriters write “hits” for the artists of various labels.
Celeste Rizvana Buckingham is a Slovak singer and actress with American/Iranian and Swiss heritage. As a previous contestant of the second series of the reality show “Česko-Slovenská SuperStar”, she soon followed suit with her debut album release ‘Don’t Look Back’ in 2012. In the same year, she was nominated for an MTV European Music Award in the Best Czech and Slovak Act category. Her song, Run Run Run became a hit in many different countries and was placed in rotation on american MTV. She received the ‘Slovenský Slávik’ award for New Artist of the Year and second place as Female Artist of the Year. She has also been one of the youngest judges ever in the history of the reality singing show, ‘X Factor’. She was nominated for a Radio Disney Music Award and her songs ‘Crushin’ My Fairytale’ and ‘Go Away’ reached the Top 30 in the prestigious Billboard Radio Charts. In 2017 she released her fifth studio album titled ‘BARE’, and in the year 2018, she received the ‘Krištalové Krídlo' award in the Rock Pop Jazz category and the SOZA award twice for the most played author under the age of 25. She currently lives in multiple places, traveling between the United States, Slovakia, Portugal and the Czech Republic.
Eva Louhivuori is a Helsinki-based singer/songwriter, artist and a composer. Eva has been focusing on her successful band Eva + Manu with whom they released two studio albums (Warner Music Finland, 2013) and an EP titled “Woods” (EMI Capitol) in 2019. She is an active songwriter for Finnish and J-Pop/K-Pop artists. In addition to her songwriting career Eva writes actively for film and tv commercials. Eva studied at Berklee College of Music 2008-2010 (Film Scoring / Vocals) and she is published by Nordic Music Partners.
LAU is the solo project of Laura Toth, Budapest based dj. In both her dj and live sets she blends an interesting selection of techno, electro, house, breakbeat, UK bass etc. Her now inactive live set duo, Wave twins released a 6 track cassette EP on Concorde Nation in January, then to finishing off the project with a beautiful video clip. She has just released her first solo track on the Dalmata Daniel meets Farbweschel VA and this is the first of many more tracks to come. Lau runs DJ and producer workshops. She has been actively part of the Budapest scene and already had the chance to play alongside names like Avalon Emerson, Courtesy, CEM, Dr. Rubinstein, Shanti Celeste, SPFDJ, Umwelt, and many more. At the moment she is preparing a joint release with CT kidobo and more tracks of her own.
Friedemann Findeisen is a creator, songwriting coach and marketer. After publishing his bestseller „The Addiction Formula“ in 2015, today he is most known through his YouTube channel „Holistic Songwriting“ and the Artists Series. Until today, the channel has collected over 330K subscribers and 10M+ views. Friedemann lives in Nordhorn with his wife Joanna and no cats.
Steve Dub is a five-time GRAMMY Award-winning producer, mixer and songwriter from the UK. Born out of the underground dance music explosion of the early 90’s, his credits range from UNKLE, The Chemical Brothers, New Order, The Prodigy, Leftfield, Primal Scream, Orbital, Moby, Underworld, Clean Bandit, Hurts Jagwar Ma and many more. Steve has been nominated for further GRAMMY's at the 2020 awards for his work with the Chemical Brothers on their latest album ’No Geography’.
Iván Vitáris is the frontman and lead singer of Budapest based rock n roll band Ivan & The Parazol. Their music is based on the 60s 70s rock n roll music with a modern edge, a perfect amalgam for the 21st century. They released 4 albums, and toured around the globe.
Andras worked on various fields of the music industry (EMI Records, Music Export Hungary, WM Music Distribution…) as new business, marketing and project manager, gained an expertise in digital music and online communication, helping labels and artists in this challenging era of music content creation and performance. Currently he is an external consultant and expert partner of Google Hungary, conduct trainings to YouTube partner companies, creative and media agencies, labels, artists, brands and content creators to reach their goals with audiovisual content. Andras is also working as YouTube specialist at The State51 Conspiracy, a London based music company, helping independent labels and artists in rights management and monetization on YouTube. He is a guest lecturer and trainer of various educational programs, marketing, media and communication departments of universities, in music related conferences and festivals.
János Herold (iamyank) is a songwriter, producer and head professor at the imPro School. He began his career as a drummer, and began to focus on contemporary music composition technology and solutions following the creation of his iamyank solo project. As an active performer he regularly plays shows both as a solo act and with his band — last Spring he also took the stage with a symphony. Today, his projects include Atreyu’s Horse, which seeks to find the common denominator between classical (piano, cello and bass) and modern instruments (modular synthesisers and guitar effects), and his second iamyank album.
Johnny K. Palmer has worked in basically every field of the music industry. His performance career saw him sharing the stage with global stars like Jermaine Jackson and Kevin Max. As a composer, both Universal and Warner Music have asked him to collaborate on projects. He regularly works as a co-writer with leading Hungarian and international performers and music talent show contestants. As a lyricist, two of his songs have reached the Eurovision Song Contest finals. As if that wasn’t enough, he also works as a music director in theatre and movie productions. "I believe that good music is something that captures and moves people."
Péter Benjamin Tóth, Esq. is a lawyer and PR communications expert, and Director of the Artisjus Business Transformation Department. In 2010 he oversaw the development and implementation of Artisjus’s communication strategy. He regularly holds lectures for artists and lawyers on copyright law. He is the founder of the Dal+Szerző magazine and blog.
We believe in songwriters, and we believe that the success of songwriting depends on connecting talented authors in the Central European region with each other and with the rest of the world. To achieve this, on March 2-3, 2020, we’re holding the third DEX Songwriting Expo where creators can get inspired, learn and make new connections. Participants will have their choice of an expanded set of programs that provides access to professional secrets, best practices of Hungarian or international songwriters and musical professionals through lectures, workshops and individual consultations. For two days in March, Budapest will become the capital of songwriters. This is the place to be!

Showcasing the harmonised values of contemporary Hungarian music — this is the Budapest Music Center’s mission. Opened in 2013, the 4000 square meter music center is home to a 300-seat concert hall, the reputable Opus Jazz Club, the Hungarian Music Information Centre and Library with a collection of 100,000 musical texts, and BMC Records which boasts close to 250 classical, contemporary and jazz music albums.

In your ticket confirmation e-mail, you’ll receive a QR code, which you need to exchange for a wristband at the event location.
To pick up your wristband you need the QR code from your ticket confirmation email in either electronic or printed format. Get your wristband by getting your QR code scanned at the DEX registration desk at the main entrance of the BMC.
